Mongolia, a landlocked country with a small population, appears at rank 50 with 104.36 Mt CO2e, placing it ahead of Peru (rank 51, 103.81 Mt CO2e) and Kenya (rank 52, 102.84 Mt CO2e). Territories and autonomous regions such as Puerto Rico (rank 125), Hong Kong SAR (rank 93), and Guam (rank 198) are included separately from their governing states, which can affect interpretation when comparing against sovereign nations.
