The source definition is applied verbatim: 'Gross value added at basic prices reflects the price of products receivable by the producer exclusive of taxes payable on products and inclusive of subsidies receivable on products, less intermediate consumption valued at purchasers' prices. This indicator is expressed in current prices, meaning no adjustment has been made to account for price changes over time.' The dataset covers 199 countries. Coverage: 197 of 199 countries (99.0%) have data from within the last seven years. Data quality: 100% of datapoints are classified as official. Consistency: 171 of 199 countries (85.9%) report data specifically for 2024. Eight extreme outliers were identified using a 3-sigma threshold. The value range spans 36,012,100 (Tuvalu) to 208,031,265,197,717,000 (Iran), a spread of approximately 578 trillion percent. Average year-over-year change across the dataset is 13.2%. Rankings are ordered by absolute LCU value; higher values rank higher. No currency conversion or inflation adjustment has been applied.
